THE MARKHAM SKEET

Those
present to collect awards on Sunday afternoon collected 2 boxes of ammo
for Gun and Class Champ wins. 42
boxes were awarded in total, a minimum of 1 case of each gauge.
To those who left early, stay next time and pick up your
winnings! Sorry, but there
is NO WAY to hold awards for those not present – no space and no time!
(Any volunteers for Awards
Chairman?) Over
6000 targets were thrown for 20+ shooters during the two day event. The
west wind both days made for some “exciting” targets, and the
occasional rain delay tested the concentration of the shooters. While more than one shooter had a “bad” shoot, Peter
Warwar turned in a spectacular tournament, winning every class he
entered! Eddy Rojas screwed up – he didn’t enter every
event! He was Gun or Class
champ in every event he entered! Congrats
to Peter and Eddy! Teddy
Montoto turned in the highest single gun score of the shoot with a 99 in
the .410! Fred
Gore took HOA honors. Just a few birds behind was Glen Rieske as Runner
Up, and Steve Haynie took 3rd . Gun
Champs were Eddy Rojas (12), Yvonne Williams (20), Steve Haynie (28),
Teddy Montoto (410) and Eddy Rojas (Doubles- again!). Class
Champion Honors went to : Our
next shoot, October 4 &
5, 2003 , will feature awards of ammo for Gun Champs (12, 20, 28, 410),
and Class Champs (A & above, B, C , D and under) .
Must be present to collect awards.
2 boxes per winner, per gauge, as available, Gun Champs are not
Class Champs in the same gauge, all prizes do not have to be awarded.
1 case per gauge is available. Starting
with our November shoot, November 1st and 2nd, we
will offer Trophies to Gun Champs (all guns) and Class Champs (except
Doubles), as well as HOA, RU and 3rd overall.
In addition, we will offer some ammo awards (the remaining
supply), which will not be in every gun and class.
Again, unless we get an Awards Chairman, winners must be present
Sunday afternoon to collect awards, as none can be held. Sarv
Kandhari has been kind enough to volunteer as Lunch Chairman for
Saturday, Oct. 4th. This
means NO PIZZA for lunch that day! Celebrate
the change that day with us! Volunteer
to run a lunch at a shoot, it’s not that hard and greatly appreciated
by all – especially those that don’t like pizza!
All it takes is some time, and we have a “Thank You” gift for
those that help! |
