The Glen Rieske Open 2006
Special Shoot Program Information

April 29th and 30th we will host the Glen Rieske Open 2006 with a special shoot program. The entire shoot will consist of two events, each with 200 targets.

On Saturday we will field entrants shooting 12 gauge or smaller, and on Sunday entrants will shoot the .410. We will still schedule and squad in 100 target "flights", but two flights will be required to complete an event. We will observe the usual practice of allowing you to shoot every other flight (as in 9:00 and 12:30 or 10:30 and 2:00) so you will not be fatigued. Of course, if space is available, you will be allowed to shoot "back-to-back" if you prefer.

In the 12 gauge event you may use any gauge 12 or smaller with ammunition containing 1 1/8 ounces of shot size 7.5 or smaller per NSSA rules. In the 410 event the loads are limited to 1/2 ounce per NSSA rules. The shoot itself will be entered as a single 12 gauge and single 410 event on your classification card with 200 targets each. Winner in each event will be the highest total of the 200 (like 199/200), and long runs go from the front of the first 100 and the back of the last 100. If you will simply run all 200 it will simplify the tie breakers immensely! You may shoot 20 and 28 gauge "targets only" at this event to register targets, and you may elect to shoot less than 200 12 / 410 targets as "targets only", but you will not be eligible for the awards Glen has planned for the events. (The awards are as of yet undisclosed and unknown to anyone except Glen.) These awards will be in addition to the prestige of winning Gun, Class and HOA titles as usual.

Because of the popularity of the .410 event we recommend that you pre-squad early.

Glen will provide lunch both days with the assistance of the ever helpful Ellen. Additional volunteers are always appreciated.

Positioned squarely between the Florida State Championships and the Masters, this shoot promises to provide a unique opportunity for fun and practice, and simply cannot mess up your average in the 20 or 28 gauge!

Come out and have some fun with us.

NOTE:

RESULTS WERE TABULATED MANUALLY FOR THIS SHOOT DUE TO LIMITATIONS OF THE VALERIO PROGRAM. THEY ARE NOT POSTED ON THE WEB.
