The
S&H Systems Shoot,
was well attended - and not just by shooters! Held on
the day of the South Florida Presidents Council Fun in the Sun Toy Run, over
30,000 motorcyclists shared Markham Park with our shooters.
Approximately 25 shooters shot 6,900
targets over the two day event.
The Markham Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays Club had voted to add $1,000
to the prize money for this shoot. An additional $345.00 came from
entries (69 X $5.00) giving us a total payout of
approximately $1,345.00 to the 26 shooters who participated one
or both days. This was in addition to making a sponsorship
contribution to the Flamingo of $270.00 .
Registration was still a bit slow as we tried to help
shooters with the new classification system, verify payment of State and
National Dues, and get the squads together. It was an aid to have two
laptops available and using the wireless network and a laser printer sped up
the process. (Wireless network and laser printer provided by S&H Systems
Services, Inc.)
We are pleased with the "rotation" type of
schedule and will try to keep moving in that direction, however there were
several shooters who were able to shoot back-to-back as space was available.
We will make all award
payments by mailing checks, and they will be mailed by Monday, December
13th,2004. You can see results and amounts of the winnings in the published
pages.
We can have similar shoots (without the "added" money,
of course) now that we have the computerized program. Your input on
this idea is appreciated.
