SKEET REPORT FOR MARCH 2007

THE TEDDY MONTOTO MEMORIAL SHOOT 2007

March 3rd and 4th, 2007

Teddy Montoto

“My old friend, I recall,
The times we had, hanging on my wall,
I wouldn't trade them for gold,
Cause they laugh and they cry me,
Somehow sanctify me,
They're woven in the stories I have told,
And tell again, my old friend…”  – Tim McGraw’s “My Old Friend”

The "Teddy"  2007 marked the second shoot of this name at Markham. Teddy Montoto passed away far too early, in August 2005, leaving many friends in the skeet shooting world behind. The Flamingo, long a major shoot in the southeast, was renamed to honor and remember Teddy, who registered 74,650 targets and captured many honors in his brief skeet shooting career. We all miss you Teddy, you’re forever in our hearts.

The turn out for this shoot was wonderful to see. It's especially good when you consider that this shoot is so soon after the Teddy Montoto Flamingo ( a major shoot, held at nearby Trail Glades Range).

23 shooters shot over 8000 targets and donated a healthy amount to Teddy's son.
