A link below will let you download a Microsoft Excel
spreadsheet to help you calculate your class under the new NSSA Classification
system. This is an unwarranted, unsupported tool I developed to help me keep my
classification current. It is free for personal, non-commercial use, and is not
intended to be the basis for a commercial product.
PLEASE VERIFY ANY AND ALL RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THIS PROGRAM.
Not responsible for any errors!
(You get what you pay for!)
There are some limits to the functions of this sheet, so
please read on.
First, you may not drop more than one class without special
action from NSSA, so don't change your class from "A" to "C" because this tools
says you should! AND you can drop only once during the Skeet year after
the initial classification (in each gun), so watch it!
Second, you can't leave any lines blank,
each new score in each gauge has to be entered on the next available line in
that gauge.
This means that shooting 2 "guns" at a shoot one weekend, then the other two the
next weekend will place those four scores on the same line. It isn't like the
classification card! There isn't a line for each event. Don't leave blanks!
There is some sample data in the sheet now,
and you can replace it with your last 5 scores,
then just keep adding to the "Broke" and "Shot" columns
each time you shoot to keep it current.
Then record the results on your classification card, of course!
The DIV/0 messages will disappear as you add scores - don't delete them!
The 51 line size can be extended by filling down.
If there is an Excel guru out there who can dress this up and
improve it, well, do it and send me a copy!
